Welcome to my Eramus in Alicante blog!

¡Bienvenidos a todos!

Welcome to my Erasmus in Alicante blog!

The aim of this blog is to help every student who´s planning to going on Erasmus in Alicante. Based on my personal experience here, I will try to provide you with different tips, advices, recommendations and all sorts of information that you may find useful during your stay in Alicante! :)

The reason why I started this blog is pretty simple – it all began last summer, when I was about to embark on that exciting journey (yeah, I know it may sound really cliched, but it really is a pretty remarkable experience!!!).

I was desperately looking for some, even the slightest piece of information about the very basic and necessary aspects of life in Alicante – such as prices of rents and the amount of the monthly bills, the good and the dodgy areas of the city, nightlife, transport, etc. However, finding clear and concise information about all this proved to be a tough task.

I had to learn everything by myself, which in no way was a bad thing, but I believe sometimes it´s better to know what to expect when you arrive in a completely new place, without knowing anyone and anything.

So, here I will try to address some of the most important topics and issues that you may encounter while being in Alicante. I hope I´ll help you avoid some of the problems I´ve experienced and thus make your stay in Spain even more exciting and unforgettable!

Because we all know – going on Erasmus, no matter where, be it in the most Southern parts of Spain or in the deep North of Finland, is mostly all about meeting new and exciting people, learning the language, travelling, studying (to a certain degree ;) ). Yes, I presume you´ve probably heard all that stuff before, but honestly, it is all true – being on Erasmus is a highly valuable life experience, which will help you learn a lot not only about the different cultures that you will encounter while being abroad, but about yourself, too.

 So, let´s get started!
